Today I'm over at Cribsheet, where I tend to always be talking about the most controversial parenting issues, I kid you not.
On the docket today is boys and toy guns.
So go on over and check out what I'm thinking these days and whether you're a parent or not, give me your two cents.

i'm behind you 100% on the dislike of toy guns. sadly, even if you don't give a child a gun (my brother and sister-in-law don't even give their boys water guns), a child who wants to play cops 'n' robbers or war will find something out of which to make a gun, whether it be a stick, another toy with a similar shape, or their own finger.
is there another toy to which you can divert t's attention? something automotive, perhaps? my nephews love trains.
